A Total Communication & Makaton friendly cafe

Community Logo
We are a friendly accessible Community Café with an inclusive and supportive environment for all. We aim to be accessible in all respects including, physically, financially and from a communication and sensory perspective.

Our team at No Limits Café & Hub includes a Makaton Regional Tutor who endeavours to ensure that there are staff to hand who know the basics of the Makaton core vocabulary in sign. All our menus and information are provided in written and symbolised formats to support more independent choices and communication for all our customers.

Sensory Awareness – working closely with SENSE ABILITIES

Having family members with Sensory Processing Difficulties can make it trickier to relax in a café environment. When we have a permanent venue our aim is to to support any needs as much as we can.

Using our close links with Sense Abilities  we will make the café as sensory aware as possible and have ‘sensory kits’ available for customers to borrow should they choose to.

These are kit bags containing ear defenders, squidgy stress and other fidgets, light up items, tactile items and colouring/puzzle sheets.
